帰路

In a world of constant motion and distraction, we often lose touch with what truly nourishes us — the quiet simplicity of being present and fully attuned to our senses. My words and photographs emerge from stillness — shaped by light, texture, and a sense of calm. They invite a gentle return to ourselves, to others, and to the natural rhythm of the world around us. Through these glimpses we are reminded to slow down and notice what often goes unseen.

Each reflection carries a quiet resonance — shaped not just by design, but by atmosphere, light, material, and intention. These are moments that feel intimate, balanced, and deeply human. Scenes that invite us to meaningfully reconnect — with the world around, and with ourselves.

Silent Interiors explores how presence, design, and attention can inspire introspection, reflection, and a deeper connection to the world we inhabit — inviting us to pause, and to see the beauty that surrounds us.

Traces of stillness

Seoul |  2026

Born from a deep connection to how we move through the world — and the quiet stories held in moments we overlook. What began as a journey through cultures and places became a practice of noticing: how light falls on a wall, how silence shapes a space, how the everyday turns extraordinary when seen with intention.

Photography, for me, is a form of presence — a way of listening with the eyes, of being fully present in the moment, here and now. It is less about the scene itself, and more about the feeling it leaves behind: a trace of calm, of presence, of stillness. In those brief moments, something quiet and essential reveals itself — not just what we see, but how we experience it, with all our senses.

Silent Interiors invites a slower, more intentional way of living — through images and reflections that explore how design, atmosphere, and awareness shape both our inner and outer worlds. It is a visual journal of presence: personal, sensory, and grounded in the belief that beauty often whispers — if we are willing to pause, feel, and truly notice. To slow down, and remember how it feels to be present.

在り方 | arikata — way of being

My name is Maurits. I was born in the Netherlands and currently live in Amsterdam.

I am drawn to moments where life slows down. Silent Interiors grew from this way of being — a desire to stay close to what is present. In interiors, in landscapes, in everyday moments that invite presence rather than distraction.

For me, it brought me closer — to myself, and to the world around me. Silent Interiors is a visual journal of that path.

I warmly invite you to connect to the newsletter and explore this way of living together.

Glad you are here, we are connected.
